TIMING
How the 10-year luck cycles work
Da Yun adds a changing stem and branch around the natal chart for roughly ten years. It describes a new context, not a replacement personality or a guaranteed event.
The natal chart remains the base
A cycle is always read in relation to the Four Pillars. Its stem introduces a Ten God role; its branch adds seasonal and structural relationships such as repetition, combination or clash.
Direction and starting age
Traditional calculation methods derive cycle direction from birth information and calculate the starting age from the distance to a solar term. The chart shows the method and date range used.
A responsible timing interpretation
A clash may indicate movement or competing demands, but it does not predict a breakup, accident or loss. Useful timing language identifies themes to observe and decisions to examine.
