What is BaZi? A practical introduction
BaZi, or the Four Pillars of Destiny, maps a birth moment into four stem-and-branch pairs. The chart is a traditional language for observing structure, relationships and changing timing.
The four pillars
Year, Month, Day and Hour each contain a Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch. The Day Stem becomes the Day Master—the reference point for reading every other symbol.
Calculation before interpretation
A reliable chart begins with the correct local time, historical time zone, daylight-saving status and solar-term boundaries. Interpretation should never replace the calendar calculation.
What BaZi can and cannot do
BaZi can organize themes for reflection, but it cannot guarantee an event, diagnose health or replace legal, financial or mental-health advice.
